Play of the Dead is a one-act featuring seven 7-minute plays by 7 women. It is a celebration of actual lives, deaths, and rebirths. Each piece was written in honor of someone the writer knew and the play is her way of saying “rest in peace” to the person and good-bye to her own guilt, shame, regret, or any other complicated feelings that death might cause. Whether it is suicide, murder, disease, old age or “natural causes,” ultimately, it is the same for everyone. In the end, life kills us all.
No performance Saturday, November 25th.
