Ray Bradbury Festival

About the Show

For nearly 70 years, Ray Bradbury has delighted readers with his dazzling creativity and haunting insights into human nature. The enduringly popular, remarkably prescient writer is celebrated during the first Ray Bradbury Festival.

The four-day event features theatrical and cinematic adaptations of his works, as well as a book-signing by the 87-year-old, Los Angeles-based author. The Festival is a co-production of Rubicon Theatre Company and Ventura-based artist and entrepreneur Michael Kelly. Highlighting the festival is the California premiere of The Illustrated Man, a new one-man show starring Tobias Andersen. It is an adaptation of a number of Bradbury short stories, ranging from such 1950s classics as "The Fog Horn" to a tale written in the 1990s.
