Two out-of-work knights, Iron Mann and Blanco, are hired by a ruthless queen to build a theatre in her second-rate castle. The queen’s monarch-mother, princess-daughter, and sovereign brother prefer to build a scaffold for their heads. Even an army of little wrens (who storm the moat in rubber boats) are determined to takeover and/or destroy the theatre AND the castle. The only morals are rancid greed, virgin lust, and decadent betrayal. Originally written as a revenge play, Sanctimonious Dogs turned into a Monty Python farce that forced the writer to admit he was the most Machiavellian dog of all.
