Footprint on the Sun Theater Company is turning Twelfth Night upside down this holiday season.
In this different, uproarious and lively interpretation of Shakespeare’s romantic comedy classic, in a bold and colorful new setting, turn-of-the century (19th, that is) Mexico, rich land owners are substituted for Counts and Countesses, bandits for pirates and drunken caballeros and adventurers for decadent aristocrats. The show offers a total reinvention suited to the modern-day audience’s sensibilities, and is all wrapped up in a deliciously comedic package perfect for the holidays – definitely not your father’s Twelfth Night. Eric Sims directs.
