Way Off Stories 2: Getting Off!

About the Show

Every Monday this June, the tradition continues with three one-act works written, performed and directed by Off- Hollywood Theatre Company members. First up is The Hothouse, a play that deals with substance abuse. It’s love, lies and secrets galore as five gay men, recovering drug addicts all, create the ultimate dysfunctional house-hold in today’s West Hollywood.
Next is Legends In Bridge, written by and starring Stephen Foster. This is an intriguing What-If piece. Specifically, what if Bette Davis and Judy Garland were taken in by a Joan Crawford dead-set on engineering the trio’s comeback? Sparks fly as Crawford squares her imposing shoulder pads and attempts to coach Davis and Garland in a film version of Saint Joan.
The third piece, entitled The Son’ll Come Out Tomorrow by Christopher Reidy, is a side-splitting, gut-wrenching spoof of TV Movies of the Week.
