This December The Old Globe brings back Teatro Máscara Mágica’s acclaimed holiday musical, La Pastorela de la Estrella, by Max Branscomb. Glorious archangels battle evil devils for the souls of humanity in the traditional Mexican-flavored Christmas musical. A partnership of The Old Globe and Teatro Máscara Mágica, the annual La Pastorela tells the story of the shepherds’ journey to Bethlehem to witness the first Christmas. This rollicking comedy blends political satire, popular culture and beautiful Spanish Christmas songs.
