As You Like It

California Shakespeare Theater closes its season with a musical take on Shakespeare’s profound romantic comedy As You Like It. Artistic Director Jonathan Moscone and composer Gina Leishman, whose collaboration on 2001’s Twelfth Night was acclaimed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “a triumph,” join forces again, along with Cal Shakes’ Associate Artists, to create an astonishing musical version of Shakespeare’s quintessential gender-bending romantic comedy, complete with loquacious clowns, lovers in disguise, family rifts, and reconciliations, all within the confines of the enchanted Forest of Arden.
