The Producers

About the Show

Based on Mel Brooks’ Academy Award-winning 1968 film, The Producers is the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock and his mousy accountant, Leo Bloom. Together, they hatch the ultimate theatrical scam: they raise more money than they will need to produce a sure-fire Broadway disaster… and plan to pocket the left-over cash when the show flops. Their sure-fire, guaranteed-to-fail fiasco? None other than the musical Springtime for Hitler.

Book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan. Music and lyrics by Mel Brooks. Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman.
