Arsenic and Old Lace is a play by American playwright Joseph Kesselring, written in 1939. It has become best known through the film adaptation starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra. A slapstick comedy about a drama critic who learns on his wedding day that his beloved maiden aunts are homicidal maniacs, and that insanity runs in his family.
The Summer Place theatre will have a reception immediately following the opening night performance of Arsenic and Old Lace on July 11 in the lobby of the theatre. Audience members will enjoy light snacks and soft drinks, and will be able to meet the cast following the show.
