About the Show

What happens to an American town when something unexpected, unconscionable and unforgivable rips it apart and thrusts it into the national media spotlight? This is the question that led Moises Kaufman and his Tectonic Theater Project to the town of Laramie, Wyoming, to seek out residents whose lives were changed after a gay college student named Matthew Shepard was brutally beaten, tied to a fence and left for dead. The Laramie Project, which is presented in late spring under the direction of Jane Farnol, is a breathtaking theatrical collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink, and the heights of compassion we can reach.

There is an additional performance on Sunday, May 11 at 2pm
