New Theatre continues its 2006-2007 Main Season with the Florida premiere of Elliot, A Soldier’s Fugue, by Quiara Alegría Hudes. Ricky J. Martinez directs.
Lance Corporal Elliot Ortiz crossed over into Iraq. At 19, he received a Purple Heart. Now, back from active duty, Elliot is annointed a hometown hero. As he comes to terms with his memories of war, he uncovers the military experiences of both his father and grandfather, discovering the delicate link that unites the 3 men across time.
