“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes”… to a theater near you… with Spare Shakespeare’s bloody rendition of Shakespeare’s beloved horror thriller, Macbeth.
Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, on the vague and equivocal prophecies of three witches, commit regicide, murder and treason to ascend to the throne, only to fall as they succumb to guilt, false security and a need for greater power.
Using high tech projections, original music and an army of actors, Macbeth, directed by Chaille Stovall, is a multimedia and multi-sensory experience. Stovall, a Coconut Grove local, gathered together a team of artists, craftspeople, costumers and CGI artists in an effort to present classical Shakespeare combined with high tech magic and original music.
