3 Talk Experiments

Writer, theatre artist and scholar Ira S. Murfin is happy to take your questions. Q & A, the centerpiece of 3 Talk Experiments, is a post-show discussion with no show preceding it. The exchange begins with a question, any question at all. How it continues is the responsibility of Murfin and his audience together. The theatre both limits and allows what is possible. Murfin’s further experiments sample other approaches to talk performance–an intimate exchange over drinks, a re-performance of one of David Antin’s signature “talk poems,” or a reading from John Cage’s one-minute autobiographical fragments, Indeterminacy (accompanied by Emmy Bean).
