American Bacchae

Set in a mythic Los Angeles suburb, the wealthy city’s young mayor, a secret webcam porn addict, attempts to combat a new religion when its global followers come to his city. Based on a Greek tragedy, this 15-actor new play with movement by writer/director Karen Yates contemplates America, pornography, spiritual disenfranchisement… and golf.
