The OOPS GUYS, the internationally-touring gay comedy act that has played to rave reviews and sold-out houses in New York City, Seattle, Miami, Boston, San Francisco and throughout Canada, brings their smash hit comedy spoof of lounge singers Asian Sings the Blues to the Bailiwick Arts Center’s Studio Theatre as part of the 2004 Chicago Improv Festival.
The critically-acclaimed evening of musical sketch features Filipino funnyman Fiely A. Matias, the self-proclaimed gay diva of bad cabaret, as he rifles through his off-beat songbook of original tunes about vengeance, love triangles, stalking, sex change operations, fetishes, and fag hags. As always, melody-mangler Matias is accompanied by his neurotic side-kick Dennis T. Giacino, the NYC-born comedy composer who writes the songs that make the whole world cringe.
