In its third and final season, First Laugh One-Act Festival joins comedy writing and performance to explore “things that make us laugh every time.” The first weekend will premiere a semi-staged reading of Pygmalion and Galatea: A Comedy of Eros, by Piccolo Ensemble Member Jessica Puller who also wrote Piccolo’s recent holiday Panto, Clara & the Nutcracker!
The festival’s second weekend will showcase Yolanda Carney, grand prizewinner of First Laugh 2015 by presenting her full-length play Thinking Sacks of Meat. This remarkable work brings life and humor to otherwise inanimate objects in an absurd yet moving narrative all can relate to.
