About the Show

Green & Blue is an award-winning Irish play about a developing friendship between a Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) officer from Northern Ireland and a Garda Síochána officer from the Republic of Ireland, both working on the Irish border at the height of The Troubles. Set in 1994, just before the IRA ceasefire, the pair recount their experiences, taking in the history of the conflict in Ireland, how they joined their respective organizations, and the day-to-day life of working in disputed territory. The play is laced with humor, insight, and touching moments. This critically acclaimed production, written by Laurence McKeown and directed by Paula McFetridge, has received rave reviews after a recent run in London and Dublin. The Irish Independent declared it “a highly moving piece of social theatre,” and the Irish Times awarded it four stars.
