R3, A Gothic Tale, is a psychological profile of Shakespeare’s greatest villain king – Richard the Third. Richard’s Anima and Animus, contrasting aspects of Jeungian psychological archetypes in Richard’s psyche, come to life as characters on stage to encourage, denounce and befriend Richard as he slaughters his way to the crown and his eventual downfall in a modern gothic subculture marked by ritual, industrial music, sex and violence.
