The Lonny Chapman Group Repertory Theatre
presents Phil Olson’s A Nice Family Gathering, a comedy in two acts. Richard Alan Woody directs.

Set in Rochester, NY, the play looks at a 4th of July family reunion held 5 months after the fun-loving father suddenly passed away. But Dad had some unfinished business and returns as a ghost with a mission: to tell his wife he loved her (after all, they were only married for 35 years). Unfortunately, she can’t see or hear him. Things get complicated when Mom invites a date for
dinner. A Nice Family Gathering is a funny and touching tale of the redemptive effect of
family reconciliation.

A Nice Family Gathering has garnered awards at the Rochester Playwright Festival and was a finalist in The Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwriting Excellence, the Phoenix Theatre’s Festival of Emerging American Theatre, the Ukiah
Players New Comedy Festival as well as the Chesterfield Writers’ Film Project. The
screenplay was a finalist in the Chicago Film Festival Indiefest.

The Lonny Chapman Group Repertory cast members include: Robert Gallo, Michele Bernath, Brian Clark, Matt Ryan, Victoria Blackburn, Lana Ford and Elliott Goldwag.
