Playwright Melissa James Gibson riffs on Homer’s Odyssey in her new play Current Nobody where she flip-flops genders to create a dazzling tale about the ultimate working mom. Od is the stay-at-home dad whose photo-journalist wife Pen heads off to cover the war in Troy. As Pen’s journey extends from weeks to years, Od is tormented by an aggressive trio of documentary filmmakers – while daughter Tel must grapple with the personal costs of epic ambition.
