Charles Barrett, a successful doctor in his early sixties, with a marriage of over three decades and a loving adult daughter, has all the trappings of success — both emotionally and materially, until a young television journalist enters his life as his lover. As a result, Charles comes out to his wife and daughter causing repercussions for his family, his new lover and himself.
Out Late explores many issues not addressed often enough in the gay community; the senior male as an object of sexual attraction, gay intergenerational relationships and the process of coming out of the closet much later in life.
