The Full Monty

Civic takes it all off for the blockbuster Broadway musical The Full Monty. Based on the 1997 film, The Full Monty transplants the film’s London steelworkers to the mills of Buffalo, N.Y.The recession has hit, and this group of unemployed steelworkers needs to start making some cash fast. Noting their wives’ enthusiasm for a touring company of professional strippers, the workers decide to present their own strip act at a local club.Terrence McNally (Love! Valour! Compassion!) wrote the Tony-nominated book, and David Yazbek wrote the score. This racy and hilarious musical is about overcoming anxiety, following dreams, and bringing a community to its feet.
