Traces

Time is running out. The clock is counting down towards an unknown fate. The performers are thrown onto the stage straight from a whirlwind catastrophe. The space has a junkyard feel with props built from scraps of wood and spare parts. Live drawings project an ever-changing décor on the backdrop via an old classroom overhead projector. A standard basketball is used as a dance partner; a “homemade” grand piano is played; street skateboard is performed in the style of an old Hollywood musical. A swinging microphone captures each breath. Traces will leave you breathless and wanting more, just as time runs out.
