The Last Five Years (Musical Stage LA)

Musical Stage LA in association with the Contemporary Theatre Club present The Last Five Years, by Jason Robert Brown.

In The Last Five Years, two 20something New Yorkers – Cathy and Jamie -tell the story of their five-year relationship, but the twist is that Cathy starts her story at the bitter end and winds backward to the relationship’s hopeful beginnings, and Jamie’s story is chronological, starting with the couple’s first date. The two threads converge in the middle with the couple’s wedding, then diverge once again in separate directions.
