About the Show

The war continues… Bodies collide in battle and embrace. Meanwhile, a man in existential crisis who has lost his passion succumbs to murderous intrigue, is resurrected as a vampire, and enacts his revenge. Social conflict and personal intrigues collide against a tapestry backdrop of provocative video and sound, resulting in an exhilarating theater work that is highly engaging physically, visually, and sonically.

Fresh from its premiere at “The American Living Room Festival” at HERE Arts Center in Manhattan, Destruction features rearranged texts from the Notebooks of Richard Foreman. Directed by Caleb Hammond, a Boston-based director and actor. Video design by Bara Kirkpatrick. Sound design by Simon Milner. Told by an intensely physical ensemble of actors against an arresting tapestry of painterly video projection and a dynamic original soundtrack, this multimedia performance is a vampire story set on the edge of a war zone.
