This stirring musical is based on the life of Eva (Duarte) Peron – actress, mistress and eventual wife to Argentine dictator Juan Peron. As the controversial first lady, Evita becomes the protector of Argentina’s poor and downtrodden opening a cornucopia of social assistance organizations.
