Set in New York in the early 1900s, this is the story of vaudeville, radio, film and theater comedienne, Fanny Brice, from her Brooklyn beginnings as a star-struck Jewish teenager who fast-talked and wisecracked her way into show business, to her turn as the toast of New York, to the unraveling of her personal life.
