Beowulf

Beowulf, one of the oldest surviving examples of ancient English poetry, is the tale of a hero and his dangerous and ultimately fatal exploits. The plot encompasses the story of a man who kills monsters, enjoys hearty friendships and fruitful alliances, becomes a king, and then dies in battle with a dragon.
