The Children’s Theatre Company presents Hansel and Gretel adapted by Rosanna Staffa, and directed by Peter C. Brosius. A starving family, under duress, comes to a grim decision: the children must fend for themselves in the woods. It’s only inevitable then — when a hungry Hansel and Gretel come upon a house made of sausages and cakes of all things, they can’t stop themselves from gobbling up the curtains and door. Wolfing down windowboxes. Polishing off siding. Only to face you-know-who lying in wait inside.
