About the Show

The ties that bind also create beautiful music in Park Square’s presentation of Michael Hollinger’s Opus, directed by Mary M. Finnerty.

In the play, a celebrated string quartet is under tremendous stress as the musicians prepare for their White House debut. They’ve had to replace their temperamental violist with gifted, inexperienced Grace, who’s never performed Beethoven’s difficult Opus 131. Passions rise, personalities clash, and the musicians are forced to tackle the ephemeral nature of their life’s work.
