A group of Kansas city musicians depart on a narrated journey of musical “time travel” to explore the evolution of America’s original art form. Musical Exploration: A Jazz Journey incorporates ragtime, blues, early New Orleans jazz, jazz in the Roaring 20s, the swing era that placed Kansas City in the music history books, and bebop, highlighting the various styles of modern jazz right up to the present.
