The Nervous Set

St. Louisans Jay, Fran Landesman, and Tommy Wolf’s jazz musical The Nervous Set gets a revival at the Artloft Theatre decades after its first production at the Crystal Palace in the Gaslight Square entertainment district in the late 1950s. When it first opened on Broadway, the musical pushed the cute sentimentality of the era aside for the brittle wit and sophistication of the Beat Generation.
