Eddie Palmieri and His Salsa Orchestra

Bandleader and pianist Eddie Palmieri, last year’s recipient of the Latin Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, returns with his Salsa Orchestra to NJPAC’s Sounds of the City outdoor concert series. Admission is free. Palmieri is known for his bold, innovative drive in a career that spans more than 50 years as the leader of salsa and Latin jazz orchestras. The winner of nine Grammy Awards, he was declared a 2013 Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts. Chembo Corniel Trio opens.
