An American Folksong in London: A Gershwin Revue

Jorge Luiz Altamirano will be performing his new show, An American Folksong in London, in his Metropolitan Room debut. Altamirano will cover crowd favorites ranging from jazz standards to opera to movie music to Broadway, all written by one of America’s most beloved composers, George Gershwin! The show follows Jorge through his European debut; he performed in the musical revue The Magic of Gershwin with the company of Theatre West Four in London, England. The program will include hits from Ladies First (1918), Demi-Tasse (1919), Sinbad (1920), Oh, Kay! (1926), Girl Crazy (1930), Porgy and Bess (1934), A Damsel in Distress (1937), The Goldwyn Follies (1937), Shall We Dance (1937), A Star Is Born (1954), and Crazy for You (1992).
