Neil Simon’s 45 Seconds From Broadway marks his 32nd play. The comedy is set in the coffee shop of the Edison Hotel, located in the heart of New York’s Theatre District. Cafe Edison is frequented by theatrical types, including producers, actors, writers, comics, and out-of-towners. Known affectionately as “The Polish Tea Room,” it is literally about 45 seconds from Broadway, but miles away from making it on the Great White Way. It’s a hangout for Mom’s cooking (potato latkes), laughter and a part in a show. Leading the cast are Lewis J. Stadlen, Marian Seldes, Louis Zorich and Joan Copeland.
