Holland Taylor is nominate for the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role!
“Poor George…he can’t help it…he was born with a silver foot in his mouth,” Texas Governor Ann Richards famously said of then Vice President President George H.W. Bush. Now Emmy Award winner Holland Taylor steps (backwards?) into the high heels of Richards in Ann, a portrait of the acerbic late governor who had a character as big as Texas.
Ann, which was also authored by Taylor, played to sold-out houses throughout Texas. Taylor returns to Broadway after a thirty-year absence following her last stint, the infamous Broadway flop Moose Murders.
