Evita tells Eva’s passionate and tragic story through Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most dazzling and beloved score, which includes “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall” and “High Flying Adored,” together with “You Must Love Me,” the Oscar-winning hit from the film Evita.
The musical stars Olivier Award-winning Argentinean actress Elena Roger making her Broadway debut as Eva Perón, world renowned music artist Ricky Martin as Che and Tony Award-winner Michael Cerveris as Juan Perón. The cast will also feature Christina DeCicco as the alternate for Eva Perón (Weds eve; Sat mat), Max von Essen as Magaldi and Rachel Potter as the Mistress.
Beginning Monday, September 3, 2012, Ricky Martin’s performance schedule as Che in the hit production of EVITA will be Tuesdays at 7pm, Wednesdays at 2pm & 8pm, Thursdays at 8pm, Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm. Max von Essen and Daniel Torres will alternate in the role of Che at Monday evening performances.
Max von Essen and Daniel Torres will continue to alternate in the role of Che on Monday nights, with the exception of Thanksgiving week. Ricky Martin is scheduled to perform on Monday, November 19. Max von Essen is scheduled to play the role of Che on Wednesday, November 21 at 2 pm. At the added matinee performance on Friday November 23 at 2:00 pm, the role of Eva will be played by Christina DeCicco. At the added matinee performance on Sunday, November 25 at 3:00pm, the role of Eva will be played by Elena Roger.
