For this performance Toshi Cappuccino has selected songs that reflect his experiences as a gay man abandoning the formality and inhibitions of Japanese life to face the terrors and temptations of New York and the USA. They celebrate his love of the freedoms, challenges and opportunities in the city. Selections range from songs by Stephen Sondheim, Elton John, William Finn and Cy Coleman.
