It took only weeks for the brilliant and talented Miss Plimpton to take a simple guest spot in Fleisher’s last appearance here and parlay it into a full-blown partnership — one which the duo wisely took to Los Angeles to perfect. There, in the merciless crucible of the southern California summer sun, their little lark became a swan.
