New Voices Second Seasonal Inaugural Concert

About the Show

The New Voices Collective presents its Second Season Inaugural Concert, featuring the art songs of John Kander alongside original theatre and concert songs by Jeff Blumenkrantz, Peter Foley, and Joe Thalken.

The concert will be presented in one of the city’s most exciting new recital spaces, Symphony Space’s intimate 150-seat Leonard Nimoy Thalia. The concert, the fourth in the New Voices series, follows sold-out concerts in January, April, and July.

Singers Kate Baldwin, Judy Blazer, Brian d’Arcy James, Rebecca Luker, and Michael Winther will perform in an evening hosted by Danny Burstein. Luker currently stars opposite Antonio Banderas in the hit Broadway musical Nine.

Performed acoustically, without microphones, the concert will feature three of New York’s finest musicians – Grant Wenaus (piano), Clay Ruede (cello), and Ed Matthew (clarinet).
