Focusing on the vital force of the human body in motion and the juxtaposition of the social context that imbues it with meaning, Milagro walks the line between vaudeville and social commentary, entertainment and politics. The essential core of George Sanchez and Patricia Hoffbauer’s collaborations lies in excavating the challenges and opportunities that surface when weaving the distinct worlds of movement and word. Veteran collaborator Peter Richards’ video narrative complements and completes the performance.
