Ministry of Progress is the story of an ordinary man called Dave who does an extraordinary thing. And in the process walks the leading lady and the audience out of a very dark situation into an aurora borealis of hope…a phenomenon so radiant it’s visible even in the final blackout. At the end, the final curtain signals the evening’s declaration of what can happen if a human being does what “has to be done” …no matter what. Against a backdrop of 15 songs written by 11 composers, an unassuming man changes the world as we know it. He also gets the girl. Directed by Kim Hughes.
