Salome by Oscar Wilde: The Reading

About the Show

Al Pacino, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dianne Wiest, and David Strathairn star in Salome by Oscar Wilde: The Reading, directed by Estelle Parsons. The banned drama seethes with erotic electricity as it follows the legend of King Herod and his bridled lust for his young stepdaughter, Salome. Her arousal and sexual baiting of the pious John the Baptist, and his subsequent rejection of her, sets the stage for this tale of lust and revenge. Original music is composed and performed by Yukio Tsuji.

Performances are November 12, 13, 14, 15, 26, 27, 29, 30; December 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 at 8:00pm and December 1, 8, 15, 22 at 7:00pm.
