The Taming of the Shrew

What starts as an academic argument escalates into a theatrical brawl, as an all-female panel of experts put on a brilliant, hilarious and moving production of Shakespeare’s most controversial play.

Borrowing the framing device surrounding the original play, a panel of 7 experts on topics such as sexology and classic literature assemble in a library to debate the true meaning of the play for the audience. The panel agrees to settle their differences by performing the play itself, and hilarity ensues.

With the Ladies’ signature tropes of role switching, storytelling, use of found objects and gender-bending, anything can and will happen in this madcap tale of the “Shrew” Katharina and her “tamer”, Petruchio.
