Tico Tales

Tico Tales, is a musical adaptation of traditional Costa Rican folk tales. The creative team, Michael Sgouros and Brenda Bell, who have written 11 original musicals together, chose this piece after bringing their production of “A Christmas Carol” to Costa Rica in December of 2011. Inspired by the beauty of the nature, the warmth of the people and the rhythms of their community, Sgouros and Bell returned to New York excited to share a theatre piece that embodies this rich culture.
