Hilary Chaplain shares some of her most intimate moments in A Life in Her Day, presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival. An original amalgam of Charlie Chaplin and Lucille Ball, this quirky and whimsical actress invites audiences into a day in her life that turns into a nightmare of her own making. Her world of birth, love, marriage, infidelity, and domestic violence evolves out of a vertical bed, a breakfast table, a bowl of marshmallows, a lamp shade, a roll of paper towels, and a dummy. As a modern-day clown, Hilary confronts everyday dilemmas and creates inventive solutions. Patricia Buckley directs.
Appropriate for age 15 and up.
