About the Show
A Perfect Wedding is the East Coast premiere of a play by Charles Mee, one of America’s more respected contemporary playwrights, who was just honored by the American Academy of Arts and Letters. An elliptical and passionate drama, the play is a poetic farrago about love, commitment, and passion. Rather like A Midsummer Night’s Dream with an edge of contemporary anxiety, a series of supposedly perfect weddings explode into a summertime fantasia, exploring the nature of love in all its tangled combinations. Plenty of songs and dances.
