Blending fast-paced scenes and rhythmic monologues, this piece of hip-hop theater shines a light on love and friendship among a group of 5 butch, boi, and trans people who play ball together and the femme women for whom they fall. This play is set in L.A. and was written with the lesbian and trans communities in mind. This play is written with a social/political consciousness, but none of the characters are necessarily “politically correct”. This is not so much about the plight of people of color as it is more of a play targeted to the audiences who want a balance to what they see in “The L Word”.
