The Barrow Street Theatre, home to many hit plays in recent years, opens it doors to a weekly Tuesday night jazz series. The series, curated by Pablo Aslan, will feature jazz with a distinct Argentine perspective throughout the spring.
An array of bands and guest artists will perform standards, modern tango, and fusion, and will be joined once-monthly by tango dancers in the 200-seat West Village venue that describes this series as Jazz Theatre – a hybrid of club and concert hall with a theatrical flare.
This week’s program includes:
March 13: Pablo Aslan’s “Tango Standards”
w/ Emilio Solla, Oscar Feldman, Noah Bless, Franco Pinna
