Alex s. Defazio’s play, Christine, revolves around the murder of its title character, a mysterious girl who does not speak and expresses herself only through secretive dance. Olivia ? a student at Christine?s high school ? is left with a pile of fragments that she must piece together in order to solve the enigma of Christine?s murder and understand the complexities of her own relationship with Christine. Composed in verse, the play explores the relent-lessness of obsession and the dangers of mythologizing the human in the absence of the divine. Jody P. Person directs.
